Where to snorkel in Grand Cayman
Grand Cayman is one of the great snorkelling islands, and the best part is how much of it you can reach straight from the sand. You do not need a boat to see something worth seeing here.
Cemetery Beach
Towards the north end of Seven Mile Beach, with a reef close enough to swim to from the shore. It is the classic Grand Cayman shore snorkel — easy entry, no boat, and enough fish and coral to keep you out there far longer than you planned.
Eden Rock and Devil's Grotto
Right off the George Town waterfront, and unusual for a shore site: a network of swim-throughs, arches and caverns, often with huge schools of silversides moving through them. Popular with divers, and much of it is shallow enough to enjoy from the surface.
Smith Cove
A sheltered cove with rocky edges, easy entry and calm water. It is a good first stop if you are getting children comfortable with a mask, and it stays swimmable on days when the open coast is stirred up.
Spotts Beach
On the south side, and known for green sea turtles that feed in the shallows. Sightings are never guaranteed with wild animals, but this is the spot people go to look, and early morning is the time to do it.

Do you deliver snorkel gear?
Yes, and it is free. We deliver and collect anywhere from West Bay to South Sound, which covers Seven Mile Beach, George Town and everything in between. Tell us your hotel, condo, villa or the stretch of beach you will be on, and the gear is waiting for you.
What is in a snorkel set?
A mask and a snorkel sized for the wearer, with junior sets kept separately so children get a mask that actually seals. Fins, vests and life jackets are available alongside the sets.
Is the gear cleaned between rentals?
Yes. Every set is sanitised before it goes back out.
Do you have gear for children?
Yes. Junior snorkel sets are sized for smaller faces, which matters more than people expect — an adult mask on a child leaks constantly and ruins the experience.
What about weak swimmers?
We rent snorkel vests and life jackets alongside the sets. A vest lets a nervous swimmer float without effort and look down at the reef, which is usually all anyone wants to do anyway.
