Where to ride in Grand Cayman

Grand Cayman is one of the easiest islands anywhere to cycle. It is almost entirely flat, the main routes hug the coast, and the distances are short enough that you can cross most of the west side in an afternoon without ever feeling like you are training for something.

The Seven Mile Beach run

The obvious first ride, and still the best. West Bay Road runs the length of Seven Mile Beach with the sea on one side and the resorts on the other. It is flat the whole way, so a cruiser is plenty of bike. Stop at Camana Bay for coffee, carry on to Cemetery Beach for a swim, and you have filled a morning without planning anything.

George Town and the waterfront

Riding south into George Town takes you along the harbour front past the cruise terminal. On days without ships in port it is quiet and genuinely pleasant. A bike also solves the parking problem that makes driving into town on a busy morning more trouble than it is worth.

West Bay and Barkers

Keep going north past the top of Seven Mile Beach and the traffic thins out into West Bay. Barkers National Park at the far end is undeveloped coastline with sand tracks, mangroves and almost nobody around. It is the ride to do if you want to see a side of the island the tour buses skip.

The practical stuff

Cayman drives on the left. Mornings and late afternoons are far more comfortable than the middle of the day, and there is very little shade on West Bay Road, so carry water. Every rental comes with a helmet and a lock.

Frequently asked questions

Do you deliver bikes to my hotel or condo?

Yes, and it is free. We deliver and collect anywhere from West Bay to South Sound, which covers Seven Mile Beach, George Town and everything in between. Tell us your hotel, condo, villa or the stretch of beach you will be on, and the gear is waiting for you.

What comes with the bike?

Every adult rental includes the bike itself, a helmet, a bike lock and our route recommendations for where to ride. Kids bikes include the bike, a helmet and a lock.

Do you have bikes for children?

Yes. We keep 24-inch mountain bikes for younger riders, charged at a flat daily rate so the whole family can go out together.

Is Grand Cayman hilly?

No. The west side of the island, where almost all the riding is, is essentially flat. That is why cruisers and hybrids work so well here and why you do not need a geared mountain bike unless you want one.

Can I rent a bike for more than one day?

Yes, and the daily rate drops the longer you keep it. A single day is charged at the standard rate, while three, five and seven-day rentals each move you into a cheaper per-day bracket. The full breakdown is in the price table above.

How do I book?

Book online any time, or call or WhatsApp us on +1 (345) 525 4455 if you would rather talk it through. If your dates are during a cruise-ship day or a holiday week, book earlier — those are the days we run out.
