The whole of Seven Mile Beach is public, so you are free to set up anywhere along it — but the natural shade is thin and the resort loungers belong to the resorts. Bringing your own chairs and umbrella means you can pick your spot rather than take whatever is left.
Two of the easiest public access points on Seven Mile Beach, both with room to spread out and calm water for swimming. Governor's Beach has parking and space; Cemetery Beach adds a reef close to shore, so it works as a snorkel stop as well.
